Amazon Basics 10-Cup Water Pitcher with Filter

We’re big water drinkers and even though we have a filter on our entire water system in our home I wanted extra protection. We don’t believe in wasting money buying bottled water and furthermore, it’s not eco-friendly. Instead, we filter our water and fill up our own bottles to use at home and while on-the go.

In the past we’ve purchased name brand water pitchers that were expensive and their replacement filters were even more costly. It was a never ending circle of spending money and a lot of it. We finally found a more cost effective solution.

Last month I purchased the Amazon Basics 10-cup Water Pitcher that includes your first water filter. What’s really nice about this system is that you can get 3 replacement filters for less than $14.00. Yes, you get 3 for that price! The water pitcher itself was around $25.00 which is less than it’s name brand competitors.

For example: The last water filter pitcher that we had purchased had cost us $55.00 with a 2-pack of replacement filters costing us $35.00. That’s ridiculous but yet we paid it because it was more cost efficient than buying cases of bottled water. Fast forward to last month when everything changed and changed for the better.

The Amazon Basics 10-Cup Water Pitcher comes with your first filter to get you started. It’s sleek and modern looking. I like that it’s clear because I can see inside it which lets me know when I need to refill it. I can always see the water line. It’s light-weight and fits comfortably in your hand for pouring.

On top of the lid you’ll see a push-button that you set every time you put a new filter in. It will then let you know when you need to change it. One filter will last for approximately 2 months and filter approximately 40 gallons of water. We pour the filtered water into our drinking glasses and reusable water bottles when we want to take it on-the-go.

If you’re looking for a more cost-friendly alternative to those name brand expensive pitchers…you should give the Amazon Basics 10-Cup Water Pitcher a try. We’re very pleased with it’s performance and our water tastes great!!! When you need to replace the filter you can get a 3-pack of replacement filters for around $14.00. Wow! Great deal!!!

I live in a senior high rise and a lot of people here say the water taste so bad. My mother is one of them and she buys bottle water. She is not a big water drinker at all. I may just have to buy her this so she can stop buying water bottles.

  3. Very reasonable price and a good solution to using fewer plastic bottles. I appreciate having good tasting water.

  4. I have a Brita pitcher and have bought the filters from Costco. This would be better and I was thinking about replacing the pitcher. Thanks for the info.

    • Hi Sarah, We had that one and the ZeroWater brands. This one is just as nice and definitely more affordable.

  5. I would love to have one of these and think I will add it to my wishlist. I need to stop using plastic water bottles.
