Memorial Day is just a few days away. Do you do anything special to remember our nation’s fallen heroes and veterans on Memorial Day? We take our kids to visit some of the local cemetaries every May to pay their respects. We visit local veteran memorials and if we have time we visit one of the local museums. We try to educate them with hands-on activities because there is only so much that children can look from books at school.
It feels like Memorial Day has come quick this year. No special plans, maybe just a bbq with friends if the weather cooperates.
No plans just a quiet weekend. I can remember when we visited TN at this time and people would go and clean up the graves an place flowers etc. It was a country cemeteries and they had a pot luck dinner and talked about all the lost family and friends.
I have no special plans except perhpas for the town parade. I hope we can see more of our family.
We don’t have plans other than the parade in our small town. It will be nice and quiet for us.
