Date Night to See Hairspray at the Hershey Theatre

Date Night to See Hairspray at the Hershey TheatreWe love going to the theater and go as often that we can. We enjoy seeing all kinds of different musicals on Broadway in New York City and locally at our very own Hershey Theatre in Hershey, Pennsylvania. It’s fun to plan an entire date night around a trip to the theater along with dinner and cocktails before or after the show.

Last week we went to the Hershey Theatre to see Hairspray starring Niki Metcalf as Tracy Turnblad, Billy Dawson as Corny Collins, Andrew Levitt as Edna Turnblad, along with the additional cast members. The show is hysterically funny!

One thing that cracked us up was Andrew Levitt who played Edna Turnblad…Tracy’s mom. Andrew was the perfect drag queen actor to play the mother. Oh my gosh, he was so funny and very entertaining. The crowd loved him!

From start to finish the show is about 2 1/2 hours in length. We did have a 15-20 minute intermission time between the first and second set. It was the perfect show to go and see right now. You can look up Hairspray online to learn about the story line. If the show comes near you…I highly recommend you go see it. It was fantastic!
