My mom happens to be one of the best pie makers that I know. She can whip together a delicious fruit pie in no time at all. She always makes the perfect, flaky crust…something that I can rarely do. Her pie making skills are impeccable compared to mine. Since I can’t get my crusts as good as her’s I use store bought crusts from the grocery store.
This is a classic recipe using fresh apples, not canned pie filling. You’ll need 5 large fresh apples or 7 medium ones.
