I have naturally curly hair and I keep my hair long. If I let my hair air dry my curls seem to get frizzy nd have no definition. To keep my curls looking defined and healthy I have to take a curling iron to them. Then there are days when I want my hair flat and sleek. On those days I have to get out my flat iron and use that. I always had to keep 2 type’s of irons on hand…until now!

With the new CHI Vibes Curved Edge Hairstyling Iron I can easily obtain both looks! That’s one appliance to keep in my bathroom and one to take with me when I travel.

Here are a few things I love about it.

Since receiving it I’ve used it several times to define my curls and on other days to completely straighten out my hair. It works beautifully for both styling methods. My 13 year old had a band concert a few days ago and we used it to straighten her hair too.

There are 4 pre-set temperature settings:

300 degrees F, 340 degrees F, 380 degrees F, and 410 degrees F.

When curling my hair I get great results at 340 degrees F heat. When I want to straighten it I turn the heat up to the 380 degrees F setting. I like that we have heat setting options like this…so we can set it to exactly the temperature that we need. My daughter has more “fine” hair than me and used the 300 degrees F setting for both curling and straightening. The thicker your hair…the higher the setting. At least that’s been my experience.

Overall, I really love the CHI Vibes “On the Edge” Curved Edge Hairstyling Iron. I’ve owned and used at least a dozen different irons the past 6-7 years and I can honestly tell you that this one is the best that I’ve used.
