Apple Filled Grands Flaky Biscuits Recipe

Apple Filled Grands Flaky Biscuits RecipeHave you ever tried Pillsbury’s Grands! Flaky Biscuits? You buy them premade in the refrigerated section at your local grocery store. They come in several different varieties, but for this easy-to-make recipe I used a can of the Flaky Layers Original Biscuits.

You will need one can of premade apple pie filling. I’m a home canner, so I used a pint size jar of apple pie filling that I personally preserved several months ago. I recommend letting the can of biscuits sit on your countertop for 5-10 minutes before you pop them open. Makes it a little bit easier to separate each biscuit into two halves.

Can of Apple Pie Filling
Ground Cinnamon
Dab of Butter for Each
Non-Stick Baking Spray
Muffin Baking Pan

Spray the baking pan with non-stick baking spray. You just need a very light coating. Set aside.

Pop open the can of refrigerated dough. Separate each biscuit into two halves. Press one half down into each cavity of your muffin pan.

Empty the can of apple pie filling into a small bowl. Chop the apple slices up into thirds or smaller pieces. Spoon 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons of the apple filling into each cup on top of the slice of dough. Add a tiny dab of butter and a tad of ground cinnamon on top. Place the other half of the biscuit on top.

Place pan in a preheated 350 degree oven. Bake for 7-9 minutes or until the top of the biscuit starts to brown. Remove from oven. Lightly brush a tad of melted butter on the top and sprinkle with a little bit of ground cinnamon. Place back into the oven for an additional 1-2 minutes. Remove and let sit in the baking pan for 2 minutes before serving.
