When we travel and pass through large cities I like to check out their skyline and hopefully snag a photo or two. It’s often difficult to get decent photos since you’re in a moving vehicle and usually on a beltway, interstate or turnpike as your traveling through. In other words, no way to pull over, get out and photograph!
Harrisburg is the official Capital of Pennsylvania. Many people think its Philadelphia, but it’s not. Harrisburg is located in the central part of the state and sits along the Susquehanna River. While it’s not a large city like Philly and Pittsburgh…it’s a decent size and growing.
A few weeks ago we were coming back from a day trip on the other side of the state and heading into Harrisburg from the west traveling east. While on the bridge I was able to get a quick photograph of part of the Harrisburg city skyline, including the capitol building.
When traveling through or around large cities do you try to check out the skyline? Are you a fan of them? Got any favorites?
I like your skyline photos . But I also like to notice the greenery and trees and flowers.
It’s funny but I tend to notice the vegetation and not the buildings. Look! What kind of tree is that?
