A powerful and reliable flashlight is a must in any of these situations. Many of us use our cell phone flashlights in a pinch, but the main purpose of your phone is for communication—not as a light source. So, what do you need to consider when purchasing a flashlight? The basic features to consider are brightness, beam distance, run-time, construction, size and light modes.
I recently was introduced to two flashlights from My Tactical Promos—the TacRight USB Focusing Flashlight and the TacRight USB Rechargeable Superbright Flashlight. Both offer a variety of features that make these must haves for any household and check all the boxes when looking for an everyday reliable flashlight.
* TacRight USB Focusing (Powerbank) Flashlight has an all-metal, scratch-resistant body with a built-in battery and has a run time of more than 8 hours. It provides bright white light to guide you thought any type of situation. It’s compact and lightweight as well, so it will easily fit into a backpack or even your pocket. The lifespan of the lamp is 100,000 hours. Two of the really cool features on this flashlight are the USB input and output for easily charging the flashlight as well as the telescopic lens for zooming the light in or out. The flashlight as three settings–high brightness, low brightness and strobe (flashing). Finally, the flashlight has an “attack” head, which is ideal for a situation where you may need to break glass. It is available for $29.95.
* TacRight USB Rechargeable Superbright Flashlight is a durable flashlight made from ABS plastic and provides a built-in lithium battery. It has four convenient modes (high, medium, strobe and SOS mode) and emits a bright white light. The lighting distance on this flashlight is 0-300 meters and was designed with a zoom feature to bring the light in or out on an area. It’s really easy to use—just the basics—and is very easy to charge with the USB port. The battery will last up to six hours. I recommend this for someone that doesn’t need a lot of bells and whistles and wants something small and compact. This product is available for $24.99.
Having the right tools for any type of situation, especially an emergency, is critical. Make sure you and your loved ones are prepared and ready with the right flashlight.
