Protect, Organize, and Store Items in Heavy Duty Storage Bags

Every year during the months of April and May I like to give my home a deep cleaning. That means that every room is thoroughly cleaned, organized, and updated for the season. It’s amazing the amount of stuff we can accumulate in just a few months!

Last week I went to Dollar Tree to pick up a few must-have supplies. I’m thrifty and like to purchase my household cleaners and products at Dollar Tree to save money. They carry many national retail brands and some of my favorite products.

In their cleaning aisle I spotted the Essentials Heavy Duty Storage Bags in 4 different sizes. Small, Medium, Large, and X-large. I picked up 4 packs of the size large with each pack containing 3 bags. Cost of only $1.25 per pack!!!

Heavy Duty Storage Bags

Each bag has a double zipper seal to keep your items clean and fresh. There’s a built-in carrying handle to make transport easy. I love that they’re clear so I can easily see the items inside. Each of the large size storage bags measure 15″ by 15″ in size. You can get a lot inside them!!!

So, what have I been using them for? Well, I’m going to tell you!

They’re the perfect size for storing extra throw blankets, seasonal bed, bath & kitchen linens, sweaters, outer wear, rolls of yarn and knitting supplies, etc. All of the items that you don’t use too often but need to properly store until you do. I can stuff them pretty good!

Once you have the storage bags stuffed with your items they will fit nicely underneath the bed, in a closet, place them on a shelf in the basement or attic, etc. I’m saving 3 of my storage bags for when we’re traveling. A nice way for me to take our own linens and other items along with us. Perfect for use at home, in the RV, camper, etc.

I’m going to head back to Dollar Tree next weekend to pick up a few more packs. Awesome price and the quality is really nice!

I use similar bags to store things in the winter. They are very useful and keep things nice and clean and tidy.

  2. These are very handy. I keep my sweaters and winter blankets in them.

  3. I am headed to the Dollar Tree store this week and I am going to look for these bags I sure hope they have them. I like to use bags like these to put my sweaters and other winter clothes away for the season.

    • Heather, I honestly LOVE these bags! I’ve purchased probably 15 packs now in size medium, large, and xtra large. For the price, can’t beat it! I just used one yesterday to pack away my Easter table and kitchen linens for next year. I got the table cloth, 8 cloth placemats, 2 kitchen towels, 2 oven mitts, 2 hot pads, 2 dish cloths, 8 Easter napkin rings, 8 cloth napkins and my Easter table runner all in one Xtra large storage bag! It will keep them all together (organized) and clean for next year.
