My family enjoys stuffing as a side dish and we’re always looking for new ways to enhance the traditional Stove-Top Stuffing Mix. Last weekend we made our version of Cranberry Stuffing using the simple recipe and directions below.
You will need 1 box of Stove Top Stuffing Mix in the Savory Herb flavor to go along with the meal that you’re serving. To go along with it you’ll need 1 cup of fresh or frozen cranberries, a little bit of finely chopped celery, onion, and butter.
To prepare the cranberries – Toss 1 cup of cranberries into boiling water with just a tad of salt. Boil for 5-10 minutes. They’re done when the skins start to blister and wrinkle. Drain away the water.
In a frying pan melt a little bit of butter. Toss in the finely chopped celery, onion, and the cooked cranberries. Simmer over low heat for about 5 minutes or until the onion and celery are fork tender. Turn off heat.
Prepare the Stove Top Stuffing Mix according to box directions tossing in the cooked cranberries, celery, and onion at the end…stirring to make sure everything is combined. Cover and let sit for 3-4 minutes before serving. Delicious!

I like recipes that imp[rove store bought products. This recipe with the cranberries and other vegetables would make the stuffing taste homemade.
That sounds so good. I will be trying this recipe. Thank you.
I’d eat that! Those are good additions to the stuffing mix.
I always have Cornbread stovetop stuffing in the cabinet………. My favortie and I fix a lot but never though about adding to it. This sounds so good and I have all of these on hand
I like Stovetop Stuffing and adding in some cranberries would give some good variety and make it extra special.
