Sitka Salmon Shares Monthly Box

My delivery arrived quickly and I was really impressed with how well everything was packaged. It arrived frozen with dry ice. Each piece was individually packaged, labeled and sealed. In my box I received 3 packages of Wild Alaskan Coho Salmon and 2 packages of Wild Alaskan Halibut, along with 2 recipe cards & other information. Check out my notes below the recipe for variations. You can tailor the recipe to your liking with a few easy changes.

Grilled Honey Dijon Salmon Recipe

1-2 Wild Alaskan Salmon Filets
1/4 cup butter, melted
3 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
1 1/2 Tbsp. Manuka honey
1/4 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
2 tsp. parsley
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper

Preheat the grill and spray the rack with non-stick spray or line with aluminum foil.

Place butter into a bowl. Microwave on high for 10-15 seconds to melt it. Remove. Stir in the Dijon mustard, Manuka honey, parsley, oregano, salt and ground black pepper until combined.

Place Italian seasoned bread crumbs into a small bowl.

Brush both sides of the salmon fillets with the mustard & honey sauce. Place fillets onto a preheated and HOT grill. Spoon the remaining sauce on top. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top of the sauce, covering the top half.

Grill for 4-5 minutes and then flip the filets over and grill for an additional 3-5 minutes. Grilling time will vary depending on how thick the filets. It make take a little less or more grilling time, so watch them closely during the cooking process. It doesn’t take long!

Remove from grill and place on a plate or serving tray. Let rest for an additional 2 minutes before serving.

Variations: If your family enjoys Mozzarella or Parmesan Cheese you can sprinkle shredded cheese on top during the last minute of cooking time. Fan of garlic? You can add minced garlic to the mustard and honey sauce mixture before coating the fish. Freshly squeezed lemon juice onto the filets gives a nice flavor twist too!
