McCormick Classic Meatloaf Recipe

McCormick herbs and spices are a staple in my kitchen pantry. I own over 40+ herbs and spices (yes, I do a lot of cooking and canning) and the majority of them are made by McCormick. It’s a brand that I’ve trusted and used for decades.

Two weeks ago I made homemade meatloaf using the McCormick Meat Loaf Seasoning Mix. You can find it at your local grocery store or on Amazon for a great price. It contains no artificial flavors. Each packet holds 1.5 oz. Serving size is 1 tsp. mix which seasons 3 oz. of meat loaf. You get about 10 servings from one packet.

Once I open the packet I take out what I need to use. I will then pour the rest of it into an airtight spice container that I got from Tupperware. I have it labeled, so I always know what is inside and how to use it. You want to keep your herbs and spices as fresh as possible.

On the packet you’ll find McCormick’s Classic Meat Loaf Recipe which is below. Prep time is 10 minutes, cook time is 1 hour and it makes approximately 10 servings.

McCormick Classic MeatLoaf Recipe

1 pkg. McCormick’s Meat Loaf Seasoning Mix
2 lbs. Lean Ground Beef
2 Medium Eggs, Lightly Beaten
1/2 cup Milk
1/4 cup Dry Bread Crumbs
1/2 cup French’s Tomato Ketchup

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Mix all ingredients except ketchup in a large bowl until well blended. Shape meat mixture into a loaf. Place in foil-lined baking pan or 9″ by 5″ loaf pan. Top with ketchup, if desired. Bake in a preheated 375 degree F. oven for 1 hour or until cooked through. Remove. Serve immediately.

Notes: Meatloaf freezes well. Let it cool completely. Place an entire loaf or slices into a plastic freezer bag. Purge out air, zip close. Label and place in freezer flat. Thaw overnight in refrigerator or for at least 2-3 hours. Reheat in a preheated 350 degree F. oven (whole loaf) for 15 minutes or reheat slices in a microwave oven for 3-4 minutes.

I LOVE meatloaf!!! I just use a 1 lb roll in my meatloaf and place it in the center of a cookie sheet. I then add cut up potatoes after about 20 minutes of cooking To me the best part of a meatloaf is the sandwiches!!
