Leaving Empty or Mostly Empty Ice Cube Trays in the Freezer
How many of you get totally irked when you open the freezer door to find empty or mostly empty ice cube trays sitting inside? Come on now, raise your hands! ME ME ME! I admit, it gets my blood boiling quickly.
I’m the type of person that has to put ice into most of my beverages. I drink a lot of iced tea, gingerale, fruit juices and smoothies. All of which require ice cubes! I need my beverages ice cold when I drink them. Sorry, that’s the way the majority of people enjoy a drink.
Well, in my household there’s a particular someone (hmmm hubby) who has a habit of leaving me empty or mostly empty ice cube trays in the freezer! Originally I had only two trays in there but couldn’t get him to break that nasty habit. So, I went and purchased 2 more trays for a total of 4. This way I would always have ice cubes available to me. Wrong.
Yesterday I got into the freezer to grab 2 trays because I was whipping up 3 fruit smoothies for myself and 2 friends. Low and behold…I found 1 completely empty and 2 almost empty trays sitting inside. Only one out of the four was full. Say what? Yeah. Oh, I was mad!
My VENT today totally deals with lazy people (yes, hubby, that’s you) who don’t take a minute or two to refill up the trays with water. Why are we housing empty ice cube trays in our freeze? Answer please. I’m waiting…………………………………Ugh.
