Happy New Year everyone! Can you believe its the first day of the new year 2022? The first half of last year seemed to drag on forever, but the second half of the year seemed to fly by. I’m glad that a fresh start is finally here.
When it comes to New Year’s Day do you and your family celebrate with a special holiday meal? Do anything special to kick off 2022? We’re having the traditional pork and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, buttered succotash, homemade cornbread and cherry pie later today.
Do you make resolutions and/or goals? Do you typically achieve them or lose interest in them? I don’t make resolutions but I do set forth obtainable goals. Realistic ones. I break them down into quarters of the year, so that I can stay focused and on track to reach them.
Hope everyone had a really nice holiday and enjoys the weekend.
I like the menu for your New Year’s feast. I made a kielbasa and kale soup with white beans that was comforting for our snowbound day. No resolutions for me just want to continue getting outside for walks and cutting down on snacks.
My sister does the southern black eyed pea, sauerkraut and cornbread. Not me never do a traditional meal. It could be any thing I find including a peanut butter sandwich. 🙂
NO resolutions or goals I just go with the flow.
Happy New Year to you too! I just have goals. My goal this year is to swim twice a week or more.
I is strange it is January 1, 2022 today. I fell asleep early last night so it really doesn’t fee like New Year’s Day for me. I don’t make resolutions anymore too stressful.
I find it hard to believe that it is 2022. My oldest son will have his 50th birthday this year!!!! We are going to celebrate this new year with roasted Duck!
