We love going to the theatre and try to go a few times every year. We’re lucky that we have several nice theaters in Pennsylvania, including one that is 15 minutes away in Hershey. The Hershey Theatre is a historic OLD theatre that has been beautifully updated and maintained over the years.
On Black Friday we went to see Waitress – Touring and it was fantastic! Not my favorite musical, but in my top 10 for sure! This musical is one that isn’t for kids, so if you ever get a chance to see it, leave the kids at home! Yeah, a few naughty scenes and language. It’s funny though!
The entire show lasted about 2 1/2 hours with a 20 minute intermission. They had a very talented and diverse cast for this one. The acting, singing and dancing was fantastic! You were entertained from start to finish. My pictures aren’t fantastic, as I was trying to be considerate to those around me. You know…no flash, no noise, no standing up, etc. during the show.
After the show my husband took me out for dinner to Applebee’s where we enjoyed steaks and drinks. The restaurant was only operating at 50% capacity so it was really nice and quiet. We could enjoy our time together while having a delicious meal.
It was really nice to get out of the house and into the real world again. Due to the Pandemic we had to wear masks, practice social distancing, use hand sanitizer (often), etc. As soon as we got home our clothing hit the washer and into the shower we went. Yeah, we do that every time we come back into the house after being out in public. Just being overly-cautious!
I understand how important it is to practice safe habits when outside. This date night looks like it was a lot of fun.
