If you’ve been following this blog over the past 6 years, you’ll already know that Dorcy is my husband’s favorite lighting company. He’s been a fan of their products before I started reviewing them on the blog. My Hubby is a licensed HVAC supervisor, electrician, plumber and contractor, he knows that Dorcy makes quality items and most of his employees use Dorcy products on the job.

One thing that my husband has never owned as a large auto light or work light. He received the Dorcy Rechargeable Auto Light with 1200 Lumens to review for you. He was like a little kid in a candy store when he took his new auto light out of the box. Seriously, he was too excited!!!

Even though it’s called a Rechargeable Auto Light, don’t let that name fool you. It can be used while repairing farm equipment, out on your boat, in your garage, garden shed, barn, workshop, hunting cabin, or just keep it in your home for emergency power outages. It’s one cool light!

The car needed some maintenance to get it ready for winter weather. Hubby used the 2 hanging hooks and attached it to the hood of the car. He loves lights that allow him to work hands-free. He was able to add windshield wiper fluid, check the oil, and other things. There was PLENTY of lighting on the HIGH 1200 Lumens Mode.

There are magnets on the end of it which allow you to firmly attach it to other metal objects. Hubby had it sticking to the car which provided him with vertical light. He calls it “Light Saber” mode. LOL What is really impressive is that it will light up a large area!!! You really don’t need multiple lights when working on a car, tractor, snowmobile, lawnmower, whatever.

Hubby is really impressed with his new Rechargeable Auto Light and has been using it for all kinds of different things. A few days ago he had it magnetized to the roof of our garden shed. He was in there looking for some tools. Yesterday he had it out again while repairing our snow blower. I really like using it indoors and tested it out in our large living room. I turned off all of the lights in our home and it lit up the entire living room along with a small portion of our hallway. Yes, it’s that powerful and gives you a lot of lighting when you need it the most.
