Thanksgiving is a special time of the year. Every time it rolls around I sit my 2 children down and ask them to tell me what they’re thankful for. We list out those items and hang it up on the refrigerator through the end of the year and look at it often. As a family, we go to the grocery store and purchase an extra $50 worth of non-perishable groceries and donate them to our local food pantry. I make the kids go along with me to the store and then to dropoff the food boxes. It teaches them how to be thankful for what they have and that they need to pay things forward by giving to others. What are you thankful for this year?

Comments

  1. I am thankful for health, family, and all that I am blessed with. I will pay it forward like you do so others will do the same when they can.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving with your family.

I like the idea behind this week’s quote. I also appreciate what you do with your children. I am going to mke sure that my granddaughter tells us what she is thankful for.

I love the picture it reminds me of the ROAD NOT TAKEN

What a good thing you have been teaching your kids. If they learn early to give and share in life it is something they will always do. Thankful that all of the family is healthy
