Thanksgiving is coming up in a few weeks so I’m already busy trying to get things ready for the holiday. My Brother-in-law and his family will be coming into town and staying with us. That will be a total of 13 people in my home for 5 days! Yikes!!! I’m fortunate that my husband Big E likes to cook and is a great help in the kitchen. He’ll be helping me prepare Thanksgiving dinner this year while my 12 year old daughter will be helping me with all of the desserts.

Do you make a big holiday meal or do you keep things simple? Do you entertain at your home or travel for the Thanksgiving holiday?

  1. We trade off hosting with family members and this year is my nephews turn to host. I am making the pies and others bring a dish or two. It will be nice to get together this year after not doing anything special last year.

My sister in law cooks dinner and she always has so much. I usually just pick up a pie or what ever looks the best at kroger. I always take leftovers home with me.

My sister has Thanksgiving dinner at her house. Everyone brings dishes but she cooks the turkey, dressing, and such. It is always so good and so much food. We are blessed.

You certainly will have a lot to prepare for Thanksgiving. My family is much smaller so I try to keep things simpler, but I do love to cook/bake.
