Game Synopsis: To play Hip Town (for 2-6 trendsetters ages 13+), players enter Hip Town, the home of Hip Coin Capitalism, where it’ll take style, street smarts, and a sense of humor to beat fellow developers to create the trendiest neighborhood in Hip Town. Start with a blank canvas; then fill your streetscape with niche businesses of your choice, from craft pickleries to modern speakeasies. Will you construct a culinary empire? A nightlife epicenter? Or something else entirely, marked with your own brand of wit and wisdom? Buying, Selling, Bidding and Building; it’s all part of being hip… in Hip Town.

Game Contents: 108 Property Cards, 54 Reality Cards, 60 Hip Coin Currency Pogs, one 8-sided die, 1 instruction sheet.

We’re a big gaming family and get together once every 2-3 weeks to enjoy a family game night. One of our favorite companies called Endless Games sent us the new HIP TOWN to play at our next game night. This game is perfect for families with older children, teenagers, young adults, and couples to play. You’ll never get bored with this one because it’s never the same game twice!

You’ll spend 4-5 minutes reading over the instruction sheet and getting things to ready to play. There’s basically no learning curve to this one. The concept is easy to understand. It’s one of those games you can play within an hour or two (depending on how many players) so it won’t take all weekend or night to play. We sat down to play this with 3 adults and 2 young teenagers, a total of 5 players. From start to finish it took us about 70 minutes to play. We took our time too!

It’s a lot of fun. You can construct your town with the type of niche businesses that you like. Bid, Buy, Sell, and Build. It’s unlike other games out in the retail marketplace which is nice! Fresh and new! The game doesn’t take up a lot of storage space, so if you travel, go camping, tailgating, etc. take it along with you. It’s great entertainment and sure to be a hit.
