Fascinating Fact: How do Crystals Form?
The crystalization process occurs naturally when liquids cool and then slowly start to harden. Atoms in the cooling liquid cling to each other by electrical forces as they attempt to become stable. This pattern repeats itself over and over to form the crystal. Crystalization can be found in sugar, salt, gemstones, and other minerals. I do enjoy doing kits like this with my grandkids. They learn so much while having a fun time and it is a good way to keep them occupied without electronics.
