Looking for a new take on the classic macaroni and cheese recipe? If so, you’ll want to try this yummy version from Campbell’s. I found the recipe on the label of Campbell’s Condenses Cream of Bacon Soup. You’ll need one can of that soup to make the recipe. It adds a light smoky, bacon flavor to your mac and cheese and will yield approximately 6 servings.
Campbell’s Creamy Bacon Mac and Cheese Recipe
1/4 cup plain dry bread crumbs
2 tbsp. butter, melted
10 1/2 oz. Campbell’s Condensed Cream of Bacon Soup
3/4 cup milk
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 tbsp. chives, chopped
3 cups elbow macaroni, cooked
Preheat oven 425 degrees F. Lightly grease casserole dish with a little bit of butter.
In small bowl stir together bread crumbs and butter.
In large bowl stir together soup and milk. Stir in shredded cheese, chopped chives, and cooked elbows. Spoon into prepared casserole dish.
Sprinkle the bread crumb mixture on top.
Bake in preheated 425 degrees F. oven for 15 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Remove and serve immediately.

I too have never heard of Campbell’s creamy bacon soup. I am going to be on the lokkout for it next time I am in Wegman’s supermarket.
I have never saw Condenses Cream of Bacon Soup in the store, but will look for it. Its funny how Campbells soup’s are in so many dishes. I watch a southern woman on facebook doing thanksgiving she used it in her dressing, green beans, and something else.

Now that would be a big hit with my family. I like the addition of chopped chives on the top and the cream of bacon would give it a nice flavor.
I have never heard of Campbells Cream of Bacon soup. I absolutely have to find it and try this. That soup can transform other dishes too.
