Yesterday my 12 year old daughter asked me a question out-of-the-blue, so today I’m going to ask that same question to all of you. What kind of career did you dream of having when you were younger and once you became an adult did you choose to work in that career field? She wanted to know if things change as she gets a little bit older. I had to think back on things before I answered her.
I wanted to be a flight attendant until I was about 15 years old. I then changed my mind and decided that I wanted to work in an office, preferrably real estate. Once I graduated high school I did go to community college and yes, I do work in an office environment in the real estate field. How about you?
I always wanted to be a teacher and I became a reading specialist so that was close to what I wanted. It was a career that I enjoyed and would choose again.
I wanted to be a teacher and that is what I did. But mostly I dreamed of being married and having children, without all the problems, etc. that can come with that!
i wanted to join the Army and don’t why!! But I didn’t and I ended up doing office work thank goodness for computers. I hated the typewriter!!
I don’t remember what I wanted to do but be a Mother. I ended up in the computer field and that did turn out to be my adult dream job.
