The Best Ways to Refresh Your Master Bathroom’s Shower

October 23, 2021 by Sam H.

The Best Ways to Refresh Your Master Bathroom’s ShowerThe master bathroom is often the most used space in the home. It’s where you get ready for work, brush your teeth, take a shower and do all of your other morning routines. And because it seems so much traffic every day, it can start to feel stale and uninviting very quickly. But don’t worry; we’ve compiled some tips on how to refresh your master bathroom’s shower!

Replace your shower head

Replace your showerhead with a new one that has been designed to save water. Many people don’t realize just how much money and resources they are wasting on their old, outdated showers heads. Many older models can use up to five gallons per minute. But, modern models touch less than two and a half! Additionally, many older models use outdated spray patterns. But modern showers can utilize various settings, including power rain, gentle mist, full body spray, and more.

Install a hand-held shower head for easier cleaning

Installing a hand-held shower head will be helpful when you’re cleaning the shower, as it allows for better reach and less chance of slipping on wet surfaces! It doesn’t just help with cleaning the shower; it also helps with cleaning yourself.

When you’re trying to reach your back or hard-to-reach areas, a hand-held showerhead will be able to help you get the job done. Just make sure that it’s easily removable for when you want to enjoy using your regular shower head again!

Add an extra towel rack or two

Adding an extra towel rack or two will come in handy when you have a lot of guests over and don’t want people to be forced to use the floor as a temporary drying spot! Also, adding these racks can help the organization so that towels aren’t all thrown into one pile for different purposes.

Having an organized bathroom will leave you feeling more relaxed and at ease in this space.

Install a glass shower door

Glass shower doors from these glass shower companies are all the rage right now, and it’s easy to see why! They add extra style points for your bathroom while also offering more privacy than other options. Installing one is easier than you might think, too. All that needs to be done is some slight modifications to the existing area around the tub.

You can also consider giving your shower curtain liner a revamp by switching to clear vinyl or plastic curtains for better visibility and less mildew buildup!

Add attractive tiles to your walls, floors, and ceiling

It will make the space feel more luxurious and spa-like. Tiles come in various colors and patterns, so you can find one to match your style! Plus, they’re easy to clean and maintain. As for the floors, you can lay down peel and stick tiles to achieve a similar effect. The ceiling is where you might want to get a little creative. Consider hanging up a tapestry or painting a mural on it!

To refresh your master bathroom, consider one of these five ways to update the shower. Remember that before you embark on a project this big, it is best to know what you want or need to go smoothly and be successful. Your home improvement store will also help with any questions about products needed for your renovations!

These are great ideas. I have a hand held shower and I love it. The change in tiling is something I need to try.

I have a handheld shower with low flow water. Works very well.

This sounds like a shower I would love to have! I do have the handheld and it is great. I am in a apartment so not a lot of changes I can make. I did add glass shelves and it really made a difference.

we added molding around the plain mirrors to give a more custom look. It really helped too.
