Really Simple Things That Can Improve Your Health
Most people like ‘simple’ because, there’s enough going on in life that it’s just easier when things aren’t complicated and they do what they say on the tin. When you are looking for ways to improve your health, the last thing you need are ideas or suggestions that take you away from your usual schedule or, add stress to your day. Sometimes new routines or activities like going to a gym, for example, can cause more drama than they’re worth, nobody likes faffing around, do they? Here are a few things you could do straight away, from the comfort of your own home;
Drink plenty of water
Again, you’ll likely have heard this one time and time again, but, do you do it? That’s the whole point, you keep hearing it because you probably don’t drink enough, the average recommended liquid intake is around 3.5 litres for men and around 2.5 litres for women. Preferably, liquids mean water, not beer or your favourite wine so, if you just made a sudden jump for joy, contain yourself. Alcohol actually dehydrates your body, meaning that your intake would need to be even more than usual! If you don’t like the idea of tap water, that’s understandable, you could, however, try filtered water from somewhere like Aqua Clear Water Systems, some people never drink from the tap ever again.
This dentist in Saratoga Springs also adds that water is good for your teeth. The acid level in our mouth increases each time we eat. However, drinking water neutralizes the pH level in our mouth, protecting our teeth from extended exposure to acid.
Make sure you eat breakfast
You’ve probably heard it a thousand times before, however, there is a good reason for that! Because it’s really important to your overall wellbeing and will shape how the rest of your day turns out. It is often said that, breakfast is the most important meal of the day and the clue is in the name, you probably wouldn’t go 7-8 hours a day without eating so why wouldn’t you eat when after you wake and before you set out for the day?
Stretches
Quite often a person can feel tired or lethargic if they tend to stand or sit in the same position each day, the movement of your body’s muscles is really important in making sure that your body works properly. It may sound really basic but, if you do some stretching exercises each day, then you are less likely to have problems later on in life. You can do stretches anywhere, although it might look a bit odd in the middle of an office or such like so you probably want to set aside 10 minutes or so each day, in the morning, if you can to stretch yourself out and extend those muscles.
Go for a jog in your garden
There isn’t really any excuse for anybody to not give this a go each day, unless you struggle with restricted movement or some other injury or health condition that prevents you from doing so, oh, or if you don’t have a garden. Everyone has at least 10 minutes per day to spare, you don’t have to attempt a 5k run, a quick jog around the garden each day can do you the world of good!
