Let Kids Get Crafty with a It’s So Me Tie-Dye Tub

It's So Me® Tie-Dye TubMy 2 children enjoy arts and crafts. They make projects at school, at scouts, in church youth group, when they visit their Grandma, and here at home. Arts and Crafts are a great way to teach children skills that they’ll need later in life and allows them to explore their creativity.

* 2021 Holiday Gift Guide Feature * Complimentary Product Received.

My children received a It’s So Me® Tie-Dye Tub which is a reusable dyeing tub. It’s easy-to-use, less messy than other tie-dying methods, and can be used with multiple children at a time.

Kit Includes:

Reusable Dying Tub Storage Case
Tote Bag
3 Tie Dye Bottles
20 Rubberbands
1 Pair of Gloves
Easy to Follow Instructions

Note: This kit only comes with 1 pair of gloves and 1 tote bag. I have 2 children so I picked up extra gloves at my local discount store and 2 packs of white cotton socks at a local department store. My kids wanted to tie-dye socks, so they could wear them to school.

Easy-to-use! Just find your item (t-shirt, tote bag, socks, hoodie, pillowcase, cotton hats, etc.), add water, apply dye in the included tub, then set and dry! The tie-dye colors work best on 100% cotton and will remain vibrant by following the care tips included.

We followed the instructions that came with the kit. The kids used 100% cotton white socks as their item of choice. They’re going to tie-dye the tote bag next weekend to give as a gift this holiday season to their Grandma. We’ll then fill it up with some of her favorite things.

tie dye socks

Anyway, they attached the included rubberbands around each sock. Then they got busy using the 3 bottles of included dye. You only need those 3 bottles (1 pink, 1 blue, and 1 yellow) because the colors over-lap and make new colors and shades. There are instructions included on how to make fancy tie-dye designs. My kids were just happy to come up with their own.

Each child worked on 3 pairs of socks, for a total of 6 pairs. We still had plenty of dye left. Once done, I took them outside and hung them up on the clothesline to dry. Once dry, you take them inside and rinse them in the sink until the wate runs clear. You want to rinse out all of that extra dye. For the next few washes (in your washing machine) wash separately until the dye has all set and no longer bleeds. After that, you’re good to go.

My children loved doing this project and it kept them busy for an entire afternoon. I think kits like this are great for rainy day projects, scouting troops, birthday party crafts, etc. Looking to buy? You can find the kits at Target and Target.com for an affordable price.

I have done tie dye in the past, and it can get messy. It is a great idea to have this kit with a tub in which to do the tie dyeing.

I got one of these early in the summer for my great niece…… NO NO you have to take it home and do it there!!! Mommy and Zay did it out side and they had so much fun . They both also had some white cloth shoes so they are now tie dyed
