Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday of all time. I love everything about Christmas…the lights, the decorations, the smells of evergreen, playing in the snow with my son, the hot chocolate, Christmas carols, wrapping presents, watching Christmas movies and spending time with my close friends and family. Of course, nothing is more amazing than watching my kids unwrap their Christmas presents left by Santa Claus.

If you are a Mom, Dad, Aunt, Uncle, Grandparent, Godparent, or just a very close friend to anyone who has young children then I highly recommend gifting your little one the book How Many Sleeps ‘Till Christmas. This is a super cute board book that counts down the days until Christmas, starting from ten. The writing is in poem format and the illustrations are bright and vibrant, sure to keep the attention of your little one.

I think that this is the perfect early Christmas present to get or give to a young child to get them excited for Christmas. The book is filled with all of the fun things that we do at Christmastime like buying and wrapping presents, decorating your house and tree, and building gingerbread houses. If you are stuck on Christmas activities, just borrow a page from this book.

Although this book is meant for younger children, I recommend birth to age three; it could also work if you also have older children. Why not start your very own new tradition by reading this story ten days before Christmas, and then each day after until Christmas day. Not only is it great repetition for your little one, but it will give you the ability to spend time as a family….If you have older children and younger children, suggest your older child read the story to their younger brothers and sisters. It’s the best time to get everyone involved.
