Fall Cleaning with 20 Mule Team Borax Detergent Booster and Household Cleaner

October 7, 2021 by Shelly

20 Mule Team Borax Detergent Booster and Household CleanerThe fall season is officially here and it’s time for my seasonal fall cleaning. During this time of the year I like to do a deep cleaning before the holiday season arrives. I start with the things outside that need to be cleaned and work my way inside. Before I get started…I walk around with pen and paper making a list of everything that needs to get done.

One product that you’ll always find in my cleaning arsenal is 20 Mule Team Borax Detergent Booster and Multi-Purpose Household Cleaner. I’ve been using it for years all around my home getting things clean. Most people use it in their laundry to boost the power of the detergent to remain stains and odors, but it can do so much more!

For example – You can use it to remove odors from your mattresses, to clean the trash can, to remove dirt and grime from outdoor furniture, to clean and brighten grout, to remove soap scum from tile, to clean the inside of your refrigerator, clean stainless steel, get those pots and pans sparkling clean, to remove grease and food from inside the microwave, and more!

Suggested Use:

Laundry – Add 1/2 cup to every load along with your regular detergent to enhance the cleaning power. Natural alternative to color safe bleach and gentle enough for delicates.

Bathroom – Sprinkle on a damp sponge or cloth and wipe on shower, tub, and tile. Cleans without chemical fumes or scratching, Great for porcelain and fiberglass tubs. Removes soap scum, hard water deposits, and dirt.

Kitchen – Sprinkle on a damp sponge or cloth and wipe on counters and appliances. Put a little in the dishwasher to enhance the power of your dishwashing detergent. Helps to remove grease, dirt, and grime. Will make dishes sparkling clean.

I like to put a 1/2 cup of Borad in a bucket of water and use that to wipe down all of our outdoor furniture. It’s great at removing dirt, grime and mildew. We have white front porch railings and banisters. I wipe them down with the solution to get them sparkling clean. Our swimming pool ladder gets dirty from all of the use…it’s great for cleaning that too.

Place 2 tablespoons into a spray bottle with water. Spray your bird feeders, bird baths, windchimes, garden figures, empty planters, etc. with the solution. If needed use a sponge to losen up debris. Then spray everything down with the garden hose to rinse everything clean. You can use it to clean the kid’s outdoor toys too.

Inside your home you can use it just like any other multi-purpose cleaner. I use it in our laundry, the kitchen, bathroom, my husband’s work room, etc. I like to take our cat’s litter box outside and sprinkle the Borax inside it. Then hit it with the garden hose every other month to keep odors at-bay. It’s great for cleaning those kitty litter boxes!!!

20 Mule Team Borax Detergent Booster and Multi-Purpose Household Cleaner is a must-have in my cleaning arsenal. It’s powerful and can be used all over the home.
