Title: Art Makers: Empowered Embroidery
Author: Amy L. Frazer
Publishers: Walter Foster, Quarto Knows
I’ve been embroidering on and off for over 50+ years. When I was 9 years old my mother taught me how to embroidery and do cross-stitch. Back in those days little girls learned this handicraft at a young age. From age 9 through 18 Mom taught me how to embroidery designs onto pillowcases, dresser scarves, table cloths, placemats, table runners, flat sheets, cotton towels, etc. All of these items went into my hope chest and was given to me when I got married.
Fast forward several decades and now you can find all kinds of beautiful how-to embroidery books out in the retail marketplace like the Empowered Embroidery by Amy L. Frazer. This author/artist does a great job at teaching you how to do the handicraft in her how-to book. Everything is broken down in a way that even newbies will understand. Easy to follow along with beautiful full-color photographs.
