My 12 year old daughter enjoys cooking and baking. She’s a big help in the kitchen and there are times that she’ll make something all on her own. While she enjoys cooking, she’s really passionate about baking, especially making and decorating cakes & cupcakes.

Here’s an example of a few recipes you’ll find inside the cookbook.

PLUS Many more!
Since my daughter loves to make and decorate cakes & cupcakes she was all over that Animal Cupcakes and Soccer Cupcakes recipes. What’s really nice about this cookbook is that the author does a wonderful job at listing out the ingredients and step-by-step directions along with prep tips, foodie facts, and color photography to go along with it. My 12 year old can utilize the cookbook all on her own.
The recipes are easy with ingredients you can find at your local grocery store. You don’t have to run around trying to find things at speciality grocers at all. I like that the author includes substitutes and variations along with allergen info for those that need it.
My kids eat homemade popsicles so I was excited to see the Tutti Frutti Ice Pops recipe included in the book. The author gives you 3 variations to make:
* Peach, Mango, Banana, and Orange
* Strawberry, Apple, and Banana
* Beetroot, Pear, and Blueberry
Fun and unique flavors and they’re super-simple to make! Making your own ice pops is healthier for your kids and you’ll save money at the same time!
I think the Annabel Karmel’s Fun, Fast & Easy Children’s Cookbook is the perfect gift to give to a child. When gifting, I recommend hitting a local discount store and picking up a new set of hot pads and basic kitchen tools to go along with it. Children love having their own things!
