It’s time to say goodbye to the summer as we move into the fall, but the changing of the seasons could also be used as the perfect opportunity to revamp your style. With Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the Christmas holidays all coming up, for most this means that your social calendar starts to get a little hectic. With all these special occasions on the horizon and the parties that come with them, why wouldn’t you want to look your best? So, if you think your style could use a refresh this fall, here are some tips on how to do it.
Go Through Your Closet
It’s probably been a whole year since you last pulled out your fluffy sweaters and cozy clothing, and while there are sure to be items you still adore for the autumnal season, is there anything you would be happy to get rid of? Take the time now before the fall gets in full swing to sort through your closet and have a clear-out. Donate unwanted clothes to charity or offer them to friends and family who might like them. Then treat yourself to a little retail therapy and get some new outfits for fall/winter. Don’t be scared to try new looks, either, as this is the best way to update your style and you might be surprised to find how well that dress, those jeans, or even that winter coat, suits you.
Time for a Hair Cut
It’s recommended that you get a trim every four to six weeks if you’re trying to avoid split ends and maintain your chosen hairstyle. However, the reality is that not everyone has time to visit the salon that frequently, and it’s easy for time to fly by, resulting in you leaving your hair to grow out for months. If you’ve not taken a trip to the salon for a while, this is yet another opportunity for you to refresh your look for the upcoming seasons. If you want to try other options, do some research on different styles that will suit your face shape, and show this to your hairdresser. Visit a quality salon such as julia-lampard.co.uk to get great advice and treatments.
Experiment with Make-up
If you are somebody who enjoys wearing make-up regularly, or even only on special occasions, experimenting with different colors and looks can be a lot of fun. Even if you choose a more neutral look for your everyday routine, adding a splash of color with a vibrant lipstick can give your style a bit of a boost, or framing your eyes with some eyeliner for a more striking appearance. There are many online tutorials you can watch, and some fantastic brands that will have the perfect colors for fall and winter looks.
Update Your Accessories
This is a great way to refresh your style and is suitable for every budget. A new hat or a cute scarf is perfect for when the weather turns cooler, but a new bag or some winter boots can also enhance your look. You might even prefer to treat yourself to some new jewelry items to complement your outfits, as well. Whatever you choose, accessories are a great way to make even your old outfits look new.
If you feel like you want to refresh your style for the upcoming fall season, use the tips above to help you achieve your gorgeous new look!

You have some great ideas. I am so ready for boots and sweater weather! I would have never thought of getting a haircut.
This just sounds like a good idea for coping with the restrictions of the pandemic too. Because I am older, I have had to limit my contact with the outside world. This refreshing of myself would be so nice. Thank you for the ideas.
