Delicious Hot and Iced Teas from Adagio Teas

Adagio TeasFounded in 1999, Adiago Teas is a family-owned company created by sons Michael and Ilya who wanted to help their mother establish a tea business. She imprinted on the company’s founders the idea that tea was important, and good tea was an integral part of a good life. Initally the founder’s mother wanted to open a tearoom, but the sound of running their own restaurant wasn’t in the books for this family. It was suggested by the youngest son to try online sales which would offer the most efficient means of bringing their mother’s dream to fruition. Offering a tea nationally, rather than locally, was far more exciting.

Adagio Teas

The brothers, armed with their mother’s passion for tea, created an online tea store called Adagio, a musical term meaning “slow,” or “at ease.” The word perfect captured tea helping us to unwind, slow down and relax. All the teas offered at Adagio come from direct farmers located throughout Asia and Africa and South America: Argentina, Egypt, South Africa, India, Sri Lank, China, Taiwan and Japan.

Adagio offers a wide range of teas, both hot teas and iced teas. Hot teas include: black, flavored, chai, oolong, white, green, presto, matcha, herbal, rooibos, decaf, Pu-Erh and wellness. Iced teas include: black, chai, oolong, white, green and herbal. Adagio also offers a range of Teaware products and items to pair with tea such as honey, tea cookies, tea sugar, tea chocolates and tea mints. Prices start at $3.00 and go up from there depending on how much you are interested in.

Adagio Teas

Personally, I’m a coffee drinker. But occasionally I find myself on a tea kick…it’s usually when I am feeling a little under the weather, but it usually lasts about a month at a time. I really wish I would have heard about Adagio Teas a long time ago, because their teas are amazing.

First, I want to talk about their caffeine-free Bella Luna Blue. Available only on the days of a blue moon, the Bella Luna Blue blends zesty freshness of lemongrass and the flavor of blueberries with exotic Butterfly Pea Flower, which when brewed turns this mystifying herbal tea indigo. It’s pretty amazing to watch the water turn blue when you brew this tea…not only does it look super cool, but it also tastes really good. You can actually taste the blueberries. I also really like that it’s caffeine-free and that it’s an herbal tea. It’s the perfect tea to have when you aren’t feeling well. But just a reminder…this tea is only available on the days of a blue moon (the next one isn’t until August 31, 2023). When available, you can order 1.5 oz. for $9.00.

Secondly I’d like to discuss two of Adagio Teas iced tea blends: purple papayaberry and blue mango. Both iced teas are caffeine-free and are available in two options, 6 quarts for $8.00 or 25 quarts for $19.00. The Purple Papayaberry tea is an amethyst infusion of fruity deliciousness. Served hot, it is a comforting cup of purple bliss. Served iced, it is as refreshing as getting caught in a papaya and blackberry rainstorm on a hot summer day.

Adagio Teas

Get the little paper umbrellas ready, because Adagio has got a cool, blue beverage and it’s everything you didn’t know you needed. Kick back and relax with this tropical iced tea blended with lemongrass, butterfly pea flower and essence of mango. One sip and you’ll be transported to a white sandy beach with crystal clear waters lapping at your feet.

These iced-teas are amazing, and you don’t even need to add sugar, because they are sweet enough on their own. If I knew iced tea could taste so delicious, I would have been obsessed ages ago. I love the colors of these teas once brewed and the taste is even better. Although summer has just about left us, bring on the fall, you don’t want to forget about the iced teas come next summer.

Overall, Adagio Teas is definitely an A+. Their flavors are amazing and I love that they work directly with farmers to bring you a wide variety of teas. If you know someone who really enjoys tea, then I highly recommend you either mention Adagio Teas, or better yet, surprise them with a gift. Adagio has a great selection of Teabag gifts and samplers. While picking up something for the tea lover in your life, you might as well pick up something for you…you won’t be disappointed. I am forever a customer and lover of Adagio Teas!
