Whisker City All-Natural Catnip for Your Feline Friends

August 24, 2021 by Shelly

Whisker City All-Natural CatnipOur boy Romeo is spoiled and we enjoy spoiling him! As a rescue cat we wanted to give him the royal treatment and trust me, he lives in cat-luxury! The boy has everything he needs and then some! He is loved by every member in our family. He has the sweetest and most loveable personality.

Last month I picked up a bag of Whisker City Natural Catnip for our boy. It was sitting on the shelf at the pet store with at least a dozen other brands. What caught my eye was the packaging where it states that it’s ALL NATURAL and it made with North American Catnip. I’m all about natural and all about products made in the U.S.A.

Whisker City All-Natural Catnip

There are no fillers! It’s made solely with catnip flowers and leaves. Nothing else. To use it…place some between your fingers and gently rub together to release the aroma. You can then sprinkle it on your cat’s toys, place it in refillable toys, or place a little bit onto the floor. We use it in toys and we will sprinkle the nip on his 3 scratch posts to keep encouraging him to use his posts when he feels the need to scratch.

We opted to NOT declaw our boy. He goes in to have his claws trimmed every 3-4 weeks. To keep him from clawing up items in our home we strategically placed 3 scratching posts in different rooms. We trained him to ONLY scratch those posts by sprinkling the nip on them. It works perfectly for that. His rewards for following his training!

One of the things I like about this particular nip (besides the things I’ve already states) is that you don’t find large, stuck-together chunks in the package. As soon as you open the package you get a good whiff of the fragrance. Strong, but not over-powering. This is what attracts your kitty to it. You can tell by the color, fragrance and consistency of the product that it’s high-quality. As a real bonus, it’s affordable!

If you’re looking for a U.S.A. Made catnip for your feline friends…I highly recommend you give Whiskers City a try. Romeo loves it!!!

This makes me really miss my cat. She loved good catnip and was picky about it. She would have loved this kind.

What a good idea to sprinkle cat nip at his scratching post. That is a good hint to keep in mind if there are any issues with clawing. Luckily my cats haven’t had this issue and use there scratching post faithfully. I would never declaw a cat. I have heard that it can cause behavioral problems and discomfort.

I too give my cat the royal treatment and smother love her daily. We need some new catnip ours is almost gone. I will so look for this catnip I like that it is all natural and I so buy items made in the U.S.A. that is super important to me. I put catnip in an old pillow case and my cat loves to roll on it and I put toys inside that she gets out.

This sounds like really nice cat nip! I remember years ago I would take a paper grocery bag and sprinkle some cat nip in it. My billie loved that bag he would play a while then come back later. Going to share this with my sister in law for her cat

This sounds like a great catnip. We chose not to declaw Fiona as well. I have two scratching posts set up for her and haven’t had a real issue (except when she was a baby) This is a nice way to reward your kitty!
