In our neck of the woods the kids are getting ready to go back to school. Some kids will be attending live in-school instruction while others will be doing virtual learning. It’s a shame that kids and parents are being pitted against one another like this. I’ll leave the rest of my personal opinion to myself.
This time of year is always busy no matter what. Kids always seem to need new shoes, clothes, school supplies, etc. This year I noticed all of these supplies are costing more. Inflation I guess.
What is heartbreaking is all the school kids that are having to quarantine or that are catching COVID because of opinions!!
I have heard others talk about supplies being costly. “Back in the olden days” we also had to buy our own school books each year. I don’t know how my parents afforded it. But we would go to this vacant store that was set up with books. You got a list of what you needed according to your school and grade. We always tried to get used books so it wasn’t so expensive.
It is nice to have a patriotic quote like this one. It is frightening to get ready for school when COVID is worsening, especially since my grandchildren are all under 7 years of age.
