Triscuit with a Hint of Sea Salt Whole Grain Wheat Crackers

August 5, 2021 by Shelly

Years ago I was handed a few Triscuit crackers and honestly, I wasn’t impressed. At that time in my life I was all about sweet snacks and unhealthy choices. Fast forward to now where I’ve switched to a more healthier diet and loving life more!

Triscuit with a Hint of Sea Salt Whole Grain Wheat Crackers

Last month I was in the grocery store and they were running a special on the Triscuit 100% Whole Grain Wheat Crackers with a Hint of Sea Salt and decided to give them another try. I tossed 2 boxes into my cart and finished my shopping.

The following day I chopped up some of our favorite cheeses and placed them on a serving tray with a handful of the crackers. Well, after 20 minutes my husband and I had devoured them. I’m no fan of just “plain wheat crackers” (they always tasted bland to me), but the Triscuit with a Hint of Sea Salt Crackers are fabulous! That little bit of sea salt turns them into something special…really special!

They contain just 3 simple ingredients: Whole Grain Wheat, Canola Oil, and Sea Salt. Serving size is 6 crackers, calories per serving is 120. They contain no artificial colors or flavors and are certified NON GMO.

We’ve been eating them up plain, with cheese on top, dunked into some of our favorite dips, with yogurt spread on top, etc. They’re versatile because they’re not mucked up with a bunch of flavors. When we enjoy crackers with toppings or dips…we like them more on the plain side. These days companies are going overboard by adding too much stuff (like EVERYTHING flavors) to snack foods which ruins them in my honest opinion.

Another way that I personally like to enjoy them – A topping on my favorite salad instead of using croutons. I just break them up, toss on top of my salad, add my dressing and enjoy! At my “older age” now I’m all about more clean, and healthier choices when it comes to snack foods.

I think I would really like these with a hint of sea salt that sounds super yummy. I haven’t had a triscuit in years. I would love to try they with some cheese and shrimp.

First time I saw them I though of shredded wheat cereal. But I tried them and keep going back for more. They have a lot of flavors my favorite is Fire Roasted Tomato & Olive Oil. Sometimes I just put plain cream cheese on them other times different cheeses. Always have them in the house.

I like trying the different flavor of Triscuits. A slice of cheese or dipped in some hummus is a good snack for me. Will have to try using them as a salad topping.
