Have you ever owned a pet? If so, how old were you when you had your first pet and what kind of pet was it? We got a cat when I was around 3 years old which lived for 8 years. Then when I was about 8 years old I got my first hamster. At age 10 years I got two lovebirds which only lived for 3 years. Oh, I had a few hermit crabs as a child too.
I was 21 and a guy that I worked with had one MALE kitten left, so sucker took it and called it Billie. I would let Billie outside once in a while. Well one day when she coming back in I notice that she looked a little wide. YES she was pregnant, why would I check I was told it was male.
I have never been without a pet or pets. I had a German Shephard dog when I was young that lived for 16 years. Best dog ever. We also had cats and a “pet” box turtle that would return to our house every spring.
I was the youngest child so there were pets here and there all the time. None were just mine. I want another dog but right now is not the right time and I want to be fair to the pet when I bring it in the home.
I received my first pet when I was 8 – a blond cocker spaniel, whom I loved. She lived for over 12 years. I am looking froward to more cookbooks, recipes and board games.
