Temptations Meaty Bites Cat Treats Made with Real Meat

July 6, 2021 by Shelly

Romeo, our 1 1/2 year old cat is a picky eater. He’s particular about what type of food he’ll eat, the flavor of his food and he’ll walk away from treats that he feels are disgusting. Yup, he’s a food snob and proud of it.

Last month while I was at the grocery store they were running a great deal on the new Temptations Meaty Bites Cat Treats so I picked up 4 bags. I went with the chicken and tuna flavors, since I know Romeo is partial to those flavors. What’s really nice about these treats is that they’re made with real meat and come in a resealable bag for storage.

Each treat is under 2 calories which is great for kitties who are watching their weight. Yeah, our boy could stand to lose a little bit of weight. What can I say? He’s spoiled! The treats contain no artificial flavors or colors. Each bag contains 1.5 oz. of treats.

When it comes to treats our boy prefers soft ones. He likes to sniff them before devouring, so they have to be fragrant and obviously smell good. These treat are soft enough that I can squish one between two fingers. Yup, I gave it the squish test.

We like to use treats two different ways: As a reward system when we’re working on training or during play time when we have him “hunting” for a treat. It’s important that we stimulate their minds and provide them with exercise on a daily basis. These treats fit perfectly into his toys so that he has to “work” to receive it.

How much does he love them? Well, as soon as he sees the bag come out of the drawer or hear it shake he comes a running! Nothing else matters to him when he knows a Temptations Meaty Bites is about to hit his stomach. Since we’ve introduced them to him…they’ve become his favorite treats!

Cats can be very finicky. My son has two cats and they have completely different personalities. However, they both love treats!

This makes me miss my cat. She only liked freeze dried chicken liver treats.

These are the treats I use to hide my cat’s pills in. I mash up 3 of them with a little water and put the pills in the temptations “meatball”. Works great much to my relief.

I think cats are the pickiest animal and the most spoiled. Its funny the food or treats that they like. Years ago one of my cat wanted what I was eating, driving me nuts. I was eating campbells beef and veggie soup, so of course I put some in her bowl. she ate ever bite and wanted more. That was the only soup she would eat. Sounds like your Romeo knows the good stuff!
