Do you ever travel? If so, once you return back home how long does it take for you to get back into the groove of things & onto your normal schedule? I struggle with that after traveling. I try to get back onto my normal routine within 2-3 days but typically it takes me 7-8 days to readjust after a trip. My kids seem to spring back to normal routine much quicker than me.

Comments

  1. It is easier for me now to get back into the groove since I no longer have children at home. I remember days though of staying up late to get laundry done, pick up pets from boarding, restocking the pantry…..and then having to get up early to take kids to school and back to work myself. Not easy but those family vacations were well worth the disruption.

The kids don’t have any responsibilities… they spring back to playing and eating. You have a full time job, a part time job, are a mother, have a husband and a household to run. That is a bit more to get back into….

We all have been there, done that, and wore that t-shirt. It is part of being a responsible adult.

I do appreciate your week in review and I just entered the Dianoche blanket giveaway. Kids always seem to adjust more quickly than the adults, but they have fewer responsibilities too.
