A few weeks ago we were down in Cape May, New Jersey for a week long vacation. Every year we go down to the Wildwood and Cape May areas and love it there. My husband will be retiring within the next 3-4 years and Cape May County will be come our summer season home.
One of the things we enjoy doing while down there is visiting the area’s various marinas. Many of them have benches where you can sit down and watch the fishing boats dock and/or head out to sea. Can you imagine spending all of that time out at sea fishing? Oh my gosh, such hard work!
On one day we visited the marina and saw the DYRSTEN docked. It was early in the morning when we were there. Later that day (in the evening), we went back to the marina to visit one of the local restaurants for dinner. Yeah, we love fresh seafood!
We were fortunate enough that evening to actually catch the DYRSTEN heading out to sea. I guess they were heading out for some night fishing. The marina was pretty busy that evening and we saw many fishing boats heading out while others were heading back in.
I thought it would be interesting to give you all a little peek at what we saw that day…the morning view and later that day the evening view. It was pretty cool to catch it!
I love looking at photos of boats including fishing boats. It must have been fun to watch them head out to sea.
I remember being in Rotterdam and watching the big container ships loading and unloading. It’s fun to watch others work….
I would enjoy watching the boats coming in and going out too. I love marinas and looking at all the boats. I could not imagine going out to sea on one of them though but I love to see them. Thanks for sharing these great pictures.
Cool photos. We saw a lot of shrimp boats when we went to Edisto.
Those are great images that give you such great visuals of being there. It looks like a great place to visit.
