Heading up to Niagara Falls for a spring trip or summer vacation? If so, you’ll want to visit the Aquarium at Niagara while you’re there! We had the opportunity to visit the facility on our last trip up to Niagara Falls and really enjoyed it.
While there we visited with various fish, stingrays, otters, seals, penguins, horseshoe crabs, eels, jellyfish, sharks, turtles, frogs, etc. One of the things we really enjoyed was the penguin encounter where we got to participate in penguin feeding time. Oh my gosh, it was so much fun and something we’ll always remember.
When visiting you’ll want to plan ahead. You can buy your admission tickets online or at the door. You’ll have to pay for “premium” parking once you get there unless you take a taxi. They’re open 7 days a week and handicap accessible.
I recommend that you wear comfortable walking shoes. You’ll be doing a lot of walking. It’s a self-guided tour which means you can take your time. We spent a total of 2 hours and 15 minutes at the facility. I wish we would of planned a little better as 3 hours would of allowed us more time to participate in some of the animal encounters.
My favorite animals to see were the penguins and seals. Hubby really enjoyed the stingrays and sharks. After our visit I did go into the gift shop and pick up a few trinkets and souvenirs for the grandkids. It’s a really nice place to visit!
I have never been to this aquarium. Although I have visited Niagara Falls I did not know that there also wqas an aquarium to visit.
Our grandkids have been able to feed the penguins when we go to the zoo. It is such a fun experience and one that they love. This looks like a fun aquarium to visit.
I like to visit aquariums. Especially since I live so far from the oceans.
I have been to the Atlanta Aquarium. It is spectacular too. The children loved it and I know they would love the one at Niagara too
