Go and Treat Yourself – 4 Things You Should Get for Yourself

4 Things You Should Get for YourselfThe past year and a half have not been easy for any of us. Many of us are exhausted, burnt out, and, while excited at the prospect of life regaining some normalcy, are also a little apprehensive. It is safe to say that our summer has not exactly had the strongest start, and while we can still get a pint at the pub with our friends, it is still from a distance. However, while the end is in sight, the slog is not over, and this is why we have created this piece to tell you to go and treat yourself.

That’s right – this is all the permission you need to go and grab those shoes you wanted or that book you have been eyeing up. And if you do not have an idea about what you want, worry not! This piece is here to give you some ideas.

A Mini Desk Fan

A mini desk fan might not scream the most interesting purchase of your life, but it will sure make a difference when you are back in the office amidst the humidity and heat. This nifty little gadget is powered off USB, which means whenever your laptop can be on, your fan can be on too. So, if we have to go back into the office, then we are at least doing it in comfort.

New Graphic T-shirts

Can you ever have too many t-shirts in your wardrobe? Probably not – especially if they are graphic tees. One of the fastest ways to show off our style and personality is with a graphic t-shirt, as you can find almost anything your heart desires. New show you discovered in lockdown that you could not stop talking about? There is a graphic t-shirt for that. Taken a trip down memory lane and enjoying the nostalgia to protect your mind from our current situation? There is a graphic t-shirt for that – try 8ball.co.uk for some fantastic retro tees. They are just a great way to express yourself in a minimalist way and are often very affordable.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy has been around for centuries and is still used to this day to help us feel energized, calmed, relaxed, or many other desired feelings. For those of you who are having trouble sleeping, either from being in the humid heat or from having to go back to work again, this could be a great non-pharmaceutical option for you. Aromatherapy for sleep might include scents such as lavender, jasmine, and sandalwood to relax your body and mind, helping you to drift off faster.

Buy A Craft Kit

One of the best things we can do for ourselves to take us out of our heads for a little bit is to try something new, and an easy way of doing this could be through craft kits. Just pick a craft you have always wanted to try and dedicate an hour at home to experimenting and enjoying quality time with yourself!

I love these ideas. I have wanted to try aromatherapy for a while. This has been a difficult year and you are right that we should all treat ourselves to some things.

  2. I love aromatherapy from candles to essential oils. I really want to get some craft kits for myself I would really enjoy that.

  3. Aromatherapy is my go to thing for myself. I have a couple of diffusers and I also make some of my own blends.
