Framed Artwork – Sea Glass Seahorse

Framed Artwork - Sea Glass SeahorseMy husband surprised me with a new piece of artwork for our home. He saw this beautiful framed artwork on Etsy and purchased it for me. Even though I didn’t make this….I wanted to show it to all of our crafty blog readers as you could easily make one for yourself.

The artist used faux sea glass (even though it looks real) and just glued it onto the board in a seahorse shape. You can find a ton of FREE seahorse templates by searching Google images and re-sizing the one you like to fit within a picture frame.

To attach them…I would recommend a quick-drying adhesive but NOT hot glue as that would be clumpy and stringy to deal with. I would probably use E6000 which dries clear and gives you a strong bond. Of course you will need to remove the glass from your purchased picture frame for this artwork to fit inside it.

I think it’s beautiful and I have it sitting in our family room. I’m thinking about hanging it up in our living room once that gets re-painted but for now…it’s in the family room. I might try to make one myself but I’m thinking in a starfish or mermaid shape!
