A year and a half ago our beloved Tucker suddenly passed away. We were in shock and grieved for 3 months. Even now…I think about Tucker almost every day. He had came into our lives and was with us for 6 months before he was gone. Oh…how I miss our beloved Tucker. Gone, but never forgotten! You can learn more about Tucker HERE.

After we got through the grieving process we decided to plant a rose bush in our backyard to honor him. It’s a beautiful yellow rose bush but we needed something to go with it. We had looked at garden stepping stones but didn’t find any that we liked. Sigh.
Over on Amazon we spotted the Cats Leave Paw Prints on Our Hearts Memorial Stone and just had to have it. You can hang it up indoors on your wall or do what we did so that you can use it outside. We sprayed our memorial stone with 3 coats of clear acrylic sealer to protect it from the outdoor elements. Left it dry overnight and then placed it on the ground by our rose bush. It was the perfect finishing touch.
It’s weighty (weighs almost 6 lbs.) so you don’t have to worry about it blowing away if you’re using it outside. Overall measurements are a nice size measuring 14 1/2″ by 9 1/2″ by 7″. If you’re hanging it up on a wall (hanger is on the back side of the stone) it can hang alone or as an accent piece. It’s a lot nicer in person than what my photograph shows.
The messaging says so much using so few words. It’s exactly how we feel about the loss of our little boy Tucker.

This is a lovely memorial stone. It is always so hard to lose a pet, especially one that has been part of afamily for a long time.
I am so very sorry for your loss. I remember seeing posts about Tucker he was a cutie. My 19 year old cat passed away in 2018 and my heart is still broken he was so special to me and was my sunshine. I was sick for two months after he died I mean really really sick in bed. I did not know that Amazon had these memorial stones I made my own for my bud. I really like the that you planted a rose bush to honor him I would like to do something like that.
I have always had cats in my life and the cat that I currently have is a senior with a heart problem that requires daily medicine. I thought for sure he was not going to make it last year but he is now doing so well. Pets bring so much joy but it is painfully sad when we lose them. I am glad that Tucker got to have people that loved him.
