Heading to the Jersey Shore? If so, you’ll want to plan your next trip to North Wildwood in New Jersey. In my honest opinion, they have the cleanest beaches in the south Jersey area! Not only are they clean, but they’re free! No beach tags required!
One of the reasons we love the beaches on this part of the island is because you’ll get beautiful views of the sun rising up over the Atlantic Ocean. You can find a bench up on the seawall to catch all of the beauty early in the morning. You can leisurely take a walk on the seawall or visit the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse Gardens (also free).
We enjoy sitting on one of the benches or out on the sandy beach watching the boats pass by and if you’re lucky…you’ll see a team of dolphins swimming just offshore. We see them on almost every visit we make to the island. A few times during off-season visits we’ve seen seals too! It’s a beautiful area to visit if you love coastal wildlife.
Almost every day you’ll see the city workers out on the beach early in the morning cleaning up trash and sifting the sand. I really appreciate their hard work in keeping this beautiful island clean! It’s a hard job! If you see them out and about, please stop to thank them!

We love North Wildwood and are looking to permanently move there when my husband retires within a few years. Until then, we go down several times every year to visit.
You have told us before about the beautiful clean free beaches in North Wildwood. I would really like to go there and experience them for myself.
I can certainly understand why this would be a place that you would want to move to in retirement. It looks so relaxing and beautiful and how special to see dolphins.

This looks like a wonderful beach to visit. I love a clean beach and that is so neat that it is free to visit. I miss the ocean it has been way too long since I have seen it.
