We did it! My grandmother, mother, father and myself all completed both covid-19 vaccines. My father completed both of his back in February to help protect my Mom who couldn’t get them at the time (she was post-op, so had to wait). My grandmother got both of hers in March and then my Mom and I got both of ours throughout the month of April.
The first shot made my arm sore and I felt like I was hit with a truck. I was tired and ran a low-grade 100 degree fever. The second shot I felt even worse. For 4 1/2 days I felt sick to my stomach, my arm throbbed, body aches, fever to 101 degrees and extremely tired. Definitely worse with the second one.
It was scary but I’m glad that all four of us completed it. Next week my husband will get his first one now that he meets the criteria. Have you gotten them?
We are fully vaccinated and it is a good feeling to have it done. Aside from some fatigue and achiness for a day or so not much of a reaction. It has been nice to meet up with friends who are also vaccinated and take our walks without wearing masks.
We have our shots and are past the 2 weeks but are still very careful. At least I can now see my grandchildren. With your reaction… it sounds like you did have the virus before with no symptoms. My BIL had the virus and then got the shots. He had your kind of symptoms too.
I enjoy all your posts. The quote this week is so true. I am looking forward to rereading some of your posts.
