Coastal Street Art on 18th Street Canal in North Wildwood

May 26, 2021 by Shelly

Coastal Street Art on 18th Street Canal in North WildwoodWe’re big fans of Street Art and have been documenting the beautiful art and wall murals that we come across on the blog for the past 11 years. While we enjoy all kinds of different street art, coastal and beach art is our favorite!

While down in North Wildwood we stumbled upon 18th Street Canal, an area on the west side of the island. You won’t find tourist gift shops, amusement parks, attractions, etc. in this particular area. It’s mostly residential with a few commercial businesses mixed in.

I’m not sure when they added the colorful wall murals but it was fairly recent. The colors are still bright and vivid. I would guestimate that within the past few years. On the other side of that cement wall is where you’ll find the canal, docks and fishing boats.

When most people visit the Wildwoods island they head straight to the beach side (Atlantic Ocean) and never explore the rest of the island. The west side is just as pretty, at least in my honest opinion!

I too like the idea of painting more murals and having art displays in the street. This would be very pretty to see in person.

What a pretty place this is and I love that street art it is really nice. These pictures would make such a nice painting. This looks like a nice place to relax and enjoy the water.
