Well, it finally happened. My daughter’s school has been open since the end of October 2020. Due to the pandemic we decided to keep her home (home schooling) until now. Two weeks ago she returned to in-classroom learning at school 3 days a week with 2 days a week at home. I was really uneasy about it but after doing research and talking to her doctor we decided to let her go back. She hated being stuck at home while the majority of her friends were in school. I can honestly tell you that she’s so much happier now!

Big E and I are both vaccinated so that played into our decision too. My son has been attending preschool 5 days a week since August of last year with no problems. They wash their hands every 30-45 minutes, social distance, wear masks and when possible on good weather days they eat their lunch outside or spend more time outside than inside. That also helped with our decision on letting our daughter return to middle school.

How has your week been? Anything new going on?

Comments

  1. My grandkids went back to in person school last month. They are happy to be back but the schedule is frustrating. Only mornings for four days and one day with remote. Does not seem like enough time for them to be learning much and is disruptive for working parents but I guess that is what it is for now.

I have had my 2 shots, but am still careful. I worry about my grandchildren because there are now COViD variant that seem to attack children more.

I hit my two week after my second shot time this week. I feel much safer. I am still cautious and wear a mask but I am high risk. I think I will get out a little at a time during non-peak hours. I have only been to Walmart 3 times in the past 14 months. I miss browsing at stores. I hope all goes well with your daughter.

Nothing really new or exciting going on here. Struggling with all the pollen. They are re-opening up schools here now which I think is kind of late seeing it is April.I don’t have any kids but if I did I would be torn I think,
