Do you like your cocktails on the sweet, sour or salty side? I prefer mine sweet, but my husband enjoys the salty and sour varieties. The Salty Dog is easy-to-make and is one of his favorite drinks, especially during the summertime. If you like vodka (or gin) I think you’ll like this one too.

You can find a ton of easy-to-make cocktail recipes on the TwoClassyChics blog, other websites, and over on YouTube. Today I’m sharing with you the recipe on how to make a Salty Dog. It’s one of the easiest cocktails to make. If you’re not a fan of vodka you can substitute with 1 1/2 oz. of your favorite gin.
Salty Dog Cocktail Drink Recipe
1 1/2 oz. Vodka
3 oz. Grapefruit Juice
1 cup Ice Cubes
Salt
Fresh Lime Wedge
Rim your glass with salt. Pour vodka into the glass first and then your grapefruit juice. Added ice cubes (about a cup). Use a straw to stir. Let it sit for a minute or two to get cold. Add a lime wedge to the rim. Serve immediately.
