How to Make a Bloody Mary

How to Make a Bloody MaryMy husband and I enjoy going out once in awhile on a date night. We will typically go out for dinner and drinks while a babysitter keeps on eye on the kids. It’s a great way for us to re-connect and spend some one-on-one time together. We also enjoy frequent date nights at home when we’ll sit down and watch a movie together while sipping on a glass of wine or a cocktail.

You can find a ton of easy-to-make cocktail recipes on the TwoClassyChics blog, other websites, and over on YouTube.  Today I’m sharing with you the classic recipe on how to make a Bloody Mary. They’re one of the most popular drinks in night clubs and neighborhood bars.

How to Make a Bloody Mary

4 oz. Tomato Juice
1 1/2 oz. Vodka
Ice Cubes
Ground Black Pepper
Salt
Lemon Wedge
Celery Stalk

Salt and pepper the rim of a glass. Add ice cubes. Pour in the tomato juice and vodka. Stir gently. Garnish the glass with a lemon wedge and a small stalk of celery. Serve immediately.

Tips: If you’re not a fan of the ground black pepper you can omit that and just salt the rim of the glass. I recommend refrigerating the tomato juice for a few hours before using it in the recipe. I like my cocktails well-chilled.

I think that the black pepper is very important. It gives a nice kick to the drink.
