When I think of classic cocktail drinks a Pina Colada is one of the first that comes to mind. Matter of fact, I think it was the first drink that I consumed on my 21st birthday if my memory serves me correctly. It also happens to be one of my favorites, especially during the summer months when I’m lounging poolside or on a beach.

I like my Pina Coladas the consistency of an ice cold slushie, so the directions below are how I make them. Different people make them different ways.
Pina Colada Cocktail Recipe
2 oz. Pineapple Juice
1 oz. White Rum
2 oz. Coconut Cream
1 tsp. Brown Sugar
3/4 cup Ice Cubes
Pineapple Wedge
Red Cherry
Place pineapple juice, white rum, coconut cream and ice cubes into a blender. Blend until it’s of slushie consistency. In a glass add 1 teaspoon brown sugar. Pour liquid into glass. Use a straw to stir. Add a fresh pineapple wedge to the rim and toss in a red cherry. Serve immediately.

This is another good cocktail recipe. I have not made a Pina Colada in over a year. I shall now make one soon.
For some reason when I was at the store today I started wanting a Pina Colada. You know how they have the drinks in plastic bags that you freeze………….. NO pina colada there. If all else fails I may have to make it for real. And this sounds easy to make.
This makes me think of summertime dinners on my back deck. This is just what I need when the weather warms up.
The problem with this recipe is that it gets the Pina Colada song stuck in my head. Now I’ll have to make one.
I haven’t had one of these in a million years and they are so good. I am going to keep this recipe for the summer thanks for sharing.
