Two years ago I put in a doorbell video camera because porch pirates were stealing packages off our doorstep. That doorbell allowed us to see who was coming and going at our front door, allowed us to talk to them in real time and stopped the porch pirates from hitting our home. It was a great investment at the time.

Last fall our neighborhood experienced several home burglaries along with lazy thieves stealing things out of cars. Over the period of two months they hit 7 homes and 4 vehicles. The police had very little to go on but were pretty sure it was the same thieves doing it.
A lot of people in our neighborhood got fed up and started installing security systems, more than just a video doorbell which most of us had. Our one neighbor told me about his new Blink Outdoor Wireless Video Security System and I knew that was what we needed too. After doing some research I purchased 3 of their outdoor cameras.
They’re very easy to install. You don’t need an electrician and no hard-wiring is needed. I used my drill to get them installed and had all three of them up within 30 minutes. Oh yeah, I used my Little Giant Step Ladder too.
Here’s a short video clip from the camera on our front porch. As you can see, crystal clear images & hopefully you can hear the birds chirping in the background too! Amazing quality!!!
For placement, I placed one on each of our front porches (we have two, a small one and a larger one) and one that is facing our backdoor. Each camera covers an entry door into our home. We installed the Blink app onto each of our smartphones and tablets. (easy to set up). It “dings” us any time it senses motion at one of the cameras and begins recording.
We can talk to whoever is detected on the video camera in real time. I can tell them to get lost, we’re calling the police, the police have been called, give me a minute to answer the door, please leave the package, whatever. Heck, it even picks up the feral cats in the neighborhood running across our porch.
The video is crisp and clear. The sound quality is amazing. Nothing is hard to see and you can hear everything clearly. The person on the other side can equally hear you clearly. You can erase video and save video. You can text video clips to another person or email them to someone who needs to see them (like your neighborhood police department).
Those three Blink Outdoor Video Security Cameras are one of the best investments that I’ve made. Shelly and I feel nice and secure in our home. We know we’ll be instantly alerted if someone approaches one of our doors and can immediately respond. Easy to install, to set-up and in my honest opinion, affordable. It’s well-worth the piece of mind!

This does sound like a great system and a good investment for you. I am thinking about getting a security system for my place.
That does look like a great system for you. I like that it’s easy to set up and use.
I am very interested in this system. I really want to thank you for posting this review. I have some questions so I need to read more on Amazon about it. I love the video that you posted that is great and the sound is perfect.h
